Back in the spring at the last moment I decided to put a cherry tomato plant in a little bit of earth that was bare in my garden. Little did I know that this would be the one plant that would become larger than life and take over the garden. It has wound its way into my olive tree and now it’s like they are one giant plant! Cherry tomatoes are growing up over my head and soon I will need a step stool to reach them. I have visions of a tomato sauce laced with my homegrown olives, however I think by the time the olives are ready for harvest the tomatoes will be gone. Maybe I need to start roasting and freezing these little jewels to keep us going in the months ahead. I’m thinking pasta puttanesca…
